I usually don't, I just use 'dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -k', but in
this case the package is in git so I'm using git-buildpackage.

I'll have to try that.

Currently I'm using; git-buildpackage;

gbp buildpackage \ 
	--git-pristine-tar 
	--git-builder='DIST=green pdebuild --auto-debsign' 
	--git-debian-branch=pureos/master
